Virtual reality, crowdsourcing and radical transparency

In her talk, Audrey Tang (@audreyt), the Digital Minister of Taiwan, will cover several democratic innovations in the government of Taiwan, including the implementations of virtual reality (VR), crowdsourcing and radical transparency. Tang is a globally known democratic innovator, with a background as a civil activist and a technologist. Tang will give her talk via a video connection. The talk will be followed by a Q&A with her.
After Tang’s talk, we will see a demonstration of virtual reality for democratic deliberation. The demo is shown by Shu Yang Lin (@shuyanglin), digital designer in the Taiwan government.
The event is organized by Democracy Accelerator at the Tackling Biases and Bubbles in Participation -project (@BIBUResearch), which is funded by the Strategic Research Council in the Academy of Finland.
